Privacy Policy

FreeQR (“we”, “our”) provides a free QR code generator at freeqr.freecvmaker.org. This policy explains what happens with information when you use it. We designed the tool so that we need as little information as possible.
1. The QR generator runs only in your browser
All QR codes are generated on your own device. The text, web address, email details, Wi-Fi network name and password, and any logo image you add are processed locally in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or to any database, and they are not shared with advertisers. We have no user accounts and do not ask you to sign up.
2. Information stored on your device
To be convenient, the site can store small items in your browser’s local storage: your chosen QR style settings, a short list (up to five) of recent website, text or email entries, and your choice about advertising cookies. Wi-Fi details are never saved. This data stays on your device. You can clear it with the “clear” and “Reset style” buttons or by clearing your browser data.
3. Hosting and server logs
The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP address, browser type, country and pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and provide aggregate statistics. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
4. Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by advertising. We may show ads from Google AdSense and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), ad cookies are used only if you agree through the consent choice shown on the site. You can change your choice at any time using the button below, and you can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Advertisers never receive what you type into the generator. The ad code is separate from the generator and does not read its fields.
5. Links to other sites
We link to our sister site FreeCVMaker.org. Other sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
6. Children
The site is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
7. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the generator, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding data processed by our hosting and advertising partners; please contact them directly or use the controls above.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
